GLC Fishing was established in 2002 as a designer, innovator, and manufacturer of high quality silicone lure skirts. Our innovative design began with the compression molded pinwheel skirt and manifested into multiple lure skirt designs and 6 US Patents. After 22 years, lure skirt innovation and manufacture is still our passion and primary focus. We produce a variety of designs to fit every need. We also offer skirt customization for unique lure applications. We have always been the top innovator and creator of skirt tab colors and prints, such as multi-color swirl (Living Image), tiger stripe, sparkle bar, half wire, double tips, camo, and holographic foil lamination (SilaFlash). Likewise for finished lure skirt bait like coloration and patterns such as sexy shad, bluegill, bream, fire craw, Okeechobee craw, and Missouri craw. Our designs, colors, and print schemes are continually copied by the competition, which to us is our greatest measure of success. Additionally, we have one of the largest, if not the largest, skirt production capacities in the world. We were also the first to utilize a CNC laser cutter to cut detailed images out of a sheet of silicone. We provide the largest selection of skirt tab colors and prints available, and we can CTR (create to sample) custom skirting material to mimic any color, pattern, or design a customer may want. GLC Skirt Tabs

For the DIYers, GLC Fishing is the premier supplier of skirt tab material. We make thousands of base colors and hundreds of prints. With over 700 standard colors and prints, and another ~5,000 custom colors/prints, we have the largest variety available worldwide. Tab strands are offered in the standard 0.4mm X 0.7mm and the thin sheet/thin cut 0.3mm X 0.5mm. We also produce textured and heavy textured strands. Our silicone skirting is produced in the standard 55 Shore A durometer, as well as soft and super soft materials down to 40 Shore. Our main focus is on specialty and general purpose silicone skirt material; however we also are capable of producing and printing natural and synthetic rubber skirt material.

GLC proudly introduces the first ever, patented Game Fish Prey Image and Appendage Easy Hub Skirt. For years, anglers have been adding relatively stiff, soft plastic or Plastisol fish prey images as trailers to their skirted lures. GLC has now created a lure skirt that incorporates these fish prey appendage and image shapes into the skirt. The advantages are clear. No more need to purchase soft plastics that have limited durability. When used on our patented easy on/easy off Easy Hub Skirt it is now easier and less expensive to add and interchange fish prey images to any jig or wire baits. And lastly and most importantly, the silicone appendages and images incorporated into our skirts are extremely breathable and provide a much greater dynamic pulsation and action. The visual images of natural game fish prey combined with their pulsating action invoke aggressive reaction strikes. We now offer these skirt in textured silicone. These heavy textured strand skirts provide fullness and body much like the traditional soft plastic chunk. Only they are more flexible and breathable, and when combined with our swirl (Living Image) coloration, they create an exceptional prey-like appearance.

GLC Textured Skirts

Our textured silicone is produced in 3 varieties, a light texture for smaller freshwater skirting to create additional action and pulsation, a medium texture for freshwater jigs skirts to provide and fuller body and more life-like appearance, and a deep texture for our saltwater Smoker skirts creating sensational pulsation and smoke trail. The light and medium textured skirts hold air bubbles and then release the bubbles slowly while jigging. The deep textured “Smoker” skirts used for offshore trolling provide excellent bubble smoke.

GLC Fishing has developed a new process for compounding multi-color UV and Chameleon (color-shifting) pigments into our silicone, and for silk-screening these pigments onto the silicone sheet. Our first ever UV glow skirts provide distinctive glow at water depths where only the suns UV spectrum is transmitted. Our UV Glow skirting give a powerful, bright glow at depths in Blue, Green, Violet, Red, Yellow, and White glow colors.

Silicone skirted Tube Baits (US Utility Patent #8,381,429)

GLC’s first of its kind, patented silicone skirted tube significantly out-performs the classic Platisol tube skirt. The durable silicone tube body and skirt will far out last any soft plastic bait. These baits can take the hits, and the action is far better than the standard soft plastic tube skirting – Silicone skirting breaths and pulsates, PlastiSol does not. And since these baits are all silicone the colorations and printing options are unlimited. Our skirted tubes are available in 2 styles – the standard one piece with rattlin jig insert, and the 2 piece, which includes a silicone tube, rattlin jig, and our patented Easy Hub skirt. Tube jigs available in sizes from 1/8 oz. to 1 oz.
